“For the wise man looks into space and he knows there is no limited dimensions.” Lao Tzu
Who am I?
I am a student Communication and Multimedia Design at Avans University in the Netherlands.
My studies provide me with a wide range of experience in and knowledge about many different fields of design. To clarify my studies a bit more, I have studied a wide range of subjects such as graphic design, illustration, video editting, storytelling and storyboard design, narration and script writing, web and application design, media strategy, ethics and philosophy, concept development, usability and interaction design, typography, art history, visual identity, product design and prototyping, game design, game analitics, group dynamics, managment, and so on.
So, enough descriptions there, next to my studies I am also human and very interested in fine arts, especially the art of painting. A big part of my life consists of sketching, painting canvasses and producing graffiti murals. I like to work with a variety of media and therefore i see the world of design not as being seperate of the fine arts world but more like a connected system of influences. I get inspiration for my digital work from the more physical art forms like graffiti, sketching, painting and vice versa. The combination between modern digital media and classic instruments of fine arts is what forms the foundation of my work.
Where do I see myself in the future?
As I developed my skills and style as artistic individual I have always had interest in doing business on an international scale. The world is simply too full inspiration and interesting cultures to just focus on what’s happening within our borders so I like to explore. For my internship I decided to go work for a Chinese design studio in Beijing and at the same time study Mandarin. After this I took a part time study in graphic design and French language at L’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
In the future I see myself continue to work with companies that have international interests and vision.
What is my vision?
I want to be a creative axis between people worldwide, I want to inspire and get inspired,
I want to collaborate and elaborate, I want to work with the openminded, the daring and the challenging.
I want to never stop exploring..
