What I do..
Who am I?
I am Sjors Jacobs, a 29-year-old enthusiast for anything related to design, marketing, and fine arts. Especially if this is also related to astronomy, space discovery & cars. With a love for travelling and languages I consider myself to be a world citizen as the following quote indicates;
“For the wise man looks into space and he knows there is no limited dimensions.” Lao Tzu
Since 2017 I work as a marketing manager for TPI-Polytechniek in Den Bosch, where I currently live. My job here is quite diverse as I am responsible for our marketing activities such as exhibitions, advertising, product placement, promotional campaigns, the companies brand identity and so on. We are an international company with customers and projects all over the world, therefore I sometimes support our sales managers when they are abroad or join them when we take part in trade shows & events alike.
I studied Communication and Multimedia Design at Avans University in the Netherlands.
My studies have provided me with a wide range of experience and knowledge about many different fields of design.
The combination of modern digital media and classic instruments of fine arts is what forms the foundation of my work.
During my studies, I decided to do an internship at Chinese design studio JITU in Beijing and in the evenings study Mandarin at Hutong School. I very much enjoyed living and working in China since as a country it is so rapidly developing and technologically advanced. After my internship, I continued my studies with a minor in graphic design and French language at L’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. In the future I see myself continue to work for companies that have international interests and make a global impression.
